The point of a magazine advert is to catch the attention of people, preferably the target audience:-
Adverts are used to publicize the following:-
- The artist's name
- websites= facebook, myspace and music press
- reviews
You also have to look at:-
The Image of the artist, there label, what does the artist represent, what type of audience are you targeting, and the relationship with other products.

Pictures are needed. You are not really making the most of the blog format. Scan pictures of these as evidence to prove your observations about the conventions
